After living in a concrete jungle for a while, I find myself forgetting that any birds exist, other than the ones that want to drop a “hello” on my head or steal my lunch. The Eastern Rosella is native to Australia and is highly intelligent, is capable of learning a large repertoire of songs, and can be trained to speak. Although Rosellas can be kept as pets, they prefer to have minimal human interaction.
